Woodpecker at Work

Two of these red breasted sapsuckers worked on my birch tree most of the afternoon; I assume the birch borer were somewhere in those holes.  I know the light is not good in this shot, but I still liked it the best. The extra photo shows the patterns on his back and tail. I think they are so interesting.....artistic!
