Longest day

1. Hard to get started today. It's the same weather that we had on exactly this day last year. It was a big day for me, so I remember it well. I'm not sure if it's the memory of that that is so tiring or just a general slump. I do get going eventually.

2. The day is broken by a dress rehearsal of Gary McNair's show Count Me In, downstairs in the rehearsal room. 7 of our Young Advisors are there to offer feedback, which is brilliant and just their very presence cheers me right up.

3. It runs late in a good way and I have to dash to Tramway. I sometimes love to baffle a taxi driver. If he can't handle the answer then he should ask the question!

4. Big day today for the BSL interpretation on Macbeth. This is us full flow plotting the lights and setting the marks. This photo is taken minutes before the plans totally change and it's back to the drawing board. I am fine about it, there is no malice or ego, it's just the way it is. It feels like a long walk in the rain to get home though.

5. But in I get and one healthy dinner, a Marianne special pudding and a chat with mum revives the soul and I settle down to start the last series of the Wire half delighted and half sad.
