Boeing 757 (and a lunar eclipse)
This must be one of my maddest blips but the next opportunity doesn't arise until 2033.
I went to bed early and set the alarm for 2:30 am.
I sat in the back garden in total darkness eating a toasted currant teacake and drinking tea and trying to get a decent photograph of the lunar eclipse. Condensation on the lens didn't help and the focusing was awful.
MONDAY
Here is a shot of the navigation lights of a DHL Boeing 757 G-BIKF carrying freight over West Yorkshire on its way from East Midlands Airport to Edinburgh. The red, eclipsed moon is in the background.
It's 4:09 am now and I'm going back to bed for another two hours.
