The Waiting

Is over!!

After all the organising, preparing and visa applying the day of my mother-in-law and nephew arriving came!

We were a bit tense and excited all day, the Mrs was like I have never seen before. We managed to speak to them when they were transferring in Madrid but then lost the ability to call them so we weren't 100% they were in the right place to get the right flight. Joshua had everything under control :-)

Driving down to Heathrow was fine and we arrived in good time. We had too long a wait though at International Arrivals at Terminal 5, we were just starting to get a bit concerned when we saw them arriving in the distance. A special moment for all of us. Feliz!!

Unfortunately one of their big bags didn't make the flight so we had to go searching for it. Angela was concerned as it contained lots of hand sewn presents for people here, but the good news was that they knew where it was and they will deliver it on Friday. Fingers crossed...

When we got home we had a Skype session with the family in Bogota which was just so lovely and exciting. They looked so happy that everyone was here in England safe and well. We then received 100s of presents!! It was crazy, just like a second Christmas! Their generosity and love is so moving.

A very happy end to a wonderful day. Now we have four weeks to make the most of their company and show them a good time :-)
