Shanty town

These shack dwellers are forced to live in these appalling conditions in the Gqebera area in Port Elizabeth....just down the road from the affluent suburbs. They have been promised housing from the government but corruption is rife and they have to suffer the consequences. Demonstrating, sometimes violently, has had little effect.
