Another year, another trip to the Scarecrow Festival that takes place in a village near us.

This year's theme was historical figures and we were greeted on the way in by a scarecrow dressed in 19th century Naval uniform with a sign reading 'Hay-ratio Nelson'.

You get the idea... That pretty much sets the tone for the day, along with 3 whole fields worth of the crafts, food and rides you would expect to find at such a lovely event. And the added bonus of a gloriously sunny day topped it off.

I have blipped perhaps my favourite of the pun filled scarecrows. These parodies of Sir Patrick Moore (Sir Patrick Straw) and Dr Stephen Hawking (Dr Stephen Strawking) win in my book.
