The Keepers Pond

Between Abergavenny and The Big Pit Nation Coal Museum at Blaenafon  this tarn/pond/little lake could be found today bathed in sunshine!  The ice cream vans were waiting for passing traffic and obviously this couple just couldn't resist.  Who could blame them on such a lovely day? We hope you have been enjoying a similar late Indian Summer day!
We visited the Ironworks in Blaenafon before going to the Big Pit and both places left us with happy and interesting memories.  Our extra picture is of the slag heaps in the opposite direction of the pond.
