The Daily Fox ...

Poor old Jack ..

I've spent parts of today sitting in the garden with a string attached to the trap, waiting for Jack to wander into it. He sat out there with me for hours (unusual for him to do when he's on his own) but wasn't at all interested in the trap.

He's such a beautiful boy. His wound looks clean - but his teeth are clearly visible through the hole in his face. At least I got an antibiotic to him.

Oddly the local wildlife woman says her vets have seen the photos and like her think he should be left to heal on his own.

Martin (of the National Fox Welfare Society) is convinced the wound needs stitching and is only concerned his long journey to collect Jack (if I can catch him) isn't wasted because there's nothing that can be done to help Jack. What extremely different views on his condition.

I'm going to try to find a local wildlife friendly vet to come out to see him if I can manage to trap him - but I'm not hopeful - either about trapping him or finding a fox friendly vet.
