Night out in Santa Fe

Paladian and I had a marvellous night out in Santa Fe, attending the Wild Earth Guardians Gala Dinner.

I got several shots of this glorious falcon face on, but naturally didn't use flash.  I used flash on this one actually by accident, but as it was from the rear it didn't really matter all that much. 

This bird is kept in captivity because it was rescued with a broken wing.  The wing has healed, but tests have shown that it would not survive in the wild if it was released.  Apparently the owner brings it along every year, but this is the first year I've noticed it.
