exotic lunch

Our walking challenge virtually took us to The Netherlands. So the completion of the challenge was celebrated with a Dutch lunch! With the Netherlands being probably the only country not represented by a specialized restaurant here in the city - we (the Dutch) of course eagerly awaited what they would serve us. Although a nice try (kroketten, erwtensoep, bietjes, fish & chips (?), kletskoppen (that look and tasted like bastognekoeken), appeltaart and hot chocolate-with-speculaaskruiden), I'm afraid there is reason no such restaurant exists...
