It's not easy being lazy

Today I set myself the challenge of staying in bed till midday, not easy when your wake time is 6am. There was reason for my laziness, mainly that I'm planning a big run tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm fully rested for that. I surprised myself by completing my challenge, with a little help from Jamie and 4OD.

Got up and did some chores, a big batch of recycling and an aldi trip. By 2.30 I was utterly bored and the prospect of having to clean the shower made me drag CS out from her sickbed.

A glorious few hours of looking at travel pics, catching up on holiday tales, being joined at various moments by other Fletchers (including The Dad. Wonderful), drinking coffee and generally loving having CS around. We very much outstayed our welcome at G&Co which we only noticed when everybody else had left and the staff brought out the mops and buckets. Instead of a harsh telling-off, we received a free chunk of focaccia bread from the owners. Perfect for curing sickness. That's what I told CS anyway.

A lovely, spontaneous Saturday. We missed a certain African though.
