L'heure de l'apéro !!

Despite still having to finish packing in the morning, I made it onto my flight and arrived safely in Bordeaux where I was met by my friend Françoise. She lives in the area of Bordeaux that used to be at the heart of the wine industry, with the riverside quays a stone's throw from her front door.

The banks of the Garonne have recently undergone a huge development programme so after unpacking, we headed down to the river for an evening aperitif of Kir Pêche, whilst watching the joggers pass by and the sun set over the city... (extra photos 2 and 3)
