Rose hips

The hedgerows are starting to bulge with wild fruits and locally there seems to be a bumper crop of rose hips this year. For anyone so inclined, there are plenty recipes for making use of rose hips, but do heed the warning about "itchy bottom disease". It sounds nasty uncomfortable.

I've been feeling out-of-sorts today - headachy, sore neck and back - and at first I put it down to delayed after-effects of the Pilates class I did on Tuesday. However, on second thoughts I remembered that I'd stumbled up/on the steps of the concert hall in Glasgow yesterday and painfully staved my middle finger, which is now swollen and bruised, so I'm sure I must have jolted everything, which is a more likely explanation. I'll live!

Strictly  got off to a great start last night with the usual range of abilities and show of potential. I'll be rooted to the sofa this evening for the second half.
