Protecting and sharing the landscape heritage

This morning after visiting my stepmother we "took the long way home" wandering down a few country lanes that we'd not been down for several years and at the end of Woodcock Road came across this wonderful Allan Turner suspension bridge, which spans one of greater Hamilton's many gullies. The gully has been cleared of "rubbish" and is undergoing planting of New Zealand native plants by volunteers. The bridge is part of the wonderful network of cycleways.
The extra tells the story of one of the native inhabitants of just such a habitat.
