Progress!

Things were looking a little rough last night. The kittens' temperature dropped yesterday afternoon and we got it back up with a heating pad, but they were still struggling to latch onto the bottle and I was concerned we weren't getting them enough food.

Well, all of that changed this morning. They decided overnight that they were going to figure this bottle thing out - the smaller one got it first, and then the bigger one latched right on, too (although, as you can see from the extra photos, they haven't figured out how to eat without getting it all over themselves). They've now had three big meals today and put on some weight. 

I can already see their development from when I first got them. Their eyes are clearer, they are more mobile, they're louder (!) and their little ears are starting to unfold. 

I'm feeling optimistic and I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
