All good things come to an end

Last full day in Rome and we saved a trip to the Vatican. It was amazing with all the wonderful treasures in the museum. We saw the 'magic' of the pillars in St Peters Square and learnt a lot about art and anatomy from our knowledgeable guide. The Sistine Chapel was breathtaking with the detail of the artwork and St Peter's Basilica was awesome.
We had a lazy afternoon (what was left of it!) at the hotel before going out into Rome at twilight to enjoy our last evening. The Colosseum at twilight took your breath away ... I couldn't stop looking at it ... Especially with the moon! I Like this shoot with it peering through one of the arches. We wandered back to the Pantheon and saw the stereotypical Rome policeman directing traffic - entertaining!!! Dinner on the piazza opposite the Pantheon was breathtaking but sereal. We wandered back to Piazza Navona to view this at night before taxing back to the hotel. So as the honeymoon draws to a close we look back over our new memories and smile ...
