Inside a Monkshood ...... !

A beautiful day ..... windy in the morning but by lunchtime the wind had dropped and the temperature had started to rise.

L and I went to the St Andrews botanic gardens this afternoon.  We enjoyed a leisurely walk round the rock garden and the pond.  The gunnera round the pond had grown to a gigantic height.  I've included a photo of the winter crown in the extras.
My favourite today has to be the Monkshood ..... makes me think of the Brother Cadfael story by Ellis Peters.
