The Edge of the Wold

Timing

Sometimes there are only a few minutes in the day when the light does something unusual if at all.  This evening it was as Gus and I arrived on the prom, and the sun was descending into a slot between the clouds above and a bank of cloud sitting on the horizon.

The photographer on the shore was in position ready for the breakthrough, and I wondered as I often do what he was seeing through his lens.  I have a feeling the more elevated perspective was the better one today, but it would be interesting to compare images.

A quick few shots from here then we passed Ashmeadow, and Gus disappeared out of view.  I whistled him back and he came bounding round the corner for the extra shot.

Otherwise it was a day of working at home as we were down to one car, the Jazz having broken down in Kendal on Wednesday as Wifie was driving up the High Street.  She was rescued by an oily angel - Fred.  And today he had the car mended and ready for pick up.  It was good timing as we need her tomorrow for the extra space for all the materials for a Wifie workshop.  We shall also need her in a week's time, when we shall be heading back to Raasay for another week there.
