Leaving/Returning

We left Mull as a cold wind brought in dumping squalls. I kept thinking of Turner and his visit to Staffa and Fingal's Cave. It was all very Turneresque and the roads on the mainland were running with water. 

It's a longish drive and the evening light as we got back - after a detour - the light on the castle was stunning (see the extra). 

It was sad to leave Mull but we have booked to return. The Treshnishes determination to not be forced down the road of conventional upland farming is admirable and wonderful (OK - enough superlatives already). But it is. 

And the initial contact through Blipfoto once again affirms the uniqueness of its community.
