Black and Brooding

The dog and I managed to negotiate our way around the lake and environs at the Taylor Dam this afternoon. Although the flood waters have all but receded it was muddy under foot. This park-like area to the south of the lake is greening up. The black and brooding mountain in the distance is "The Ned".
I was relieved to see that the black swan families, one with two babies and the other family with six babies, were happily swimming about on the lake. They all survived the recent flooding.
