World's Biggest Coffee Morning

Fundraiser for MacMillan Cancer Support, a mouthwatering spread including this jam and cream sponge.  The icing sugar grid came with the fundraising kit this year.  

I sent a text to Mecca, after hearing the tragic news of the stampede at Mina this morning.  Friends are taking part in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.  A reply within five minutes to say they are all safe and well.  

Also thinking of our new extended family in Singapore, as they struggle with the haze caused by forest fires in Sumatra.  Schools are closing as air quality has become hazardous. PSI is 318. Praying for rain, and wind to blow the haze away.
