Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

BACK IN THE DRIVING SEAT

Only one possible blip today.  After seven months of being chauffeured about I was permitted to drive again today.  I celebrated by taking some big bits of rubbish to the dump.  Most things can be done by public transport, bike, taxi  or walking, but lugging piles of filthy building debris was not possible by any other means (I don't have a pack horse).

Even better news is that the consultant in the stroke clinic is certain that I don't have angina at all, although the cardiologist will have to confirm that next week.  So no stroke, no epilepsy, no brain tumour, nothing pressing on my spinal column - probably a simple matter of too many unnecessary drugs.
