Artichoke

Thankfully I realised I had a day missing from my journal. One of those days when you try and try to upload a blip and the internet fails. I had obviously forgotten that I went to bed abandoning this atempt!

So, we are in Edinburgh with #2 Daughter and she says she needs to go to attend to her boss's allotment while she is away. OK, we say, we can help with gardening. 

To my surprise I found something in one of the allotments that I had never seen before: an artichoke flower! Wow! I didn't even think that they might flower!
