Last morning in Paris

After a coffee and croissant at a nearby cafe, and a little walk up to M&S to buy some sarnies (wish there was one in Saintes!) we got the bus to Montparnasse and the train back to Surgeres. The weather got warmer and sunnier with every mile travelled, we picked up the dogs from kennels and were home by 4pm.
We've had a lovely few days, despite the rain and arctic winds at the Arc de Triumph yesterday, and here is a photo of where we stayed. Our room is near the top, the window just to the left of the statue's foot on the right of the building. We had a small balcony which went to the corner past the statue, but which would have been too narrow to put a chair on!
