Collar Dove
Bit of a busy day blip (BDB) today as I spent the morning working at the Old School House with other volunteers, and this afternoon got the car ready and packing done for our visit to #1 son and his girlfriend in Bicester.
We plan to leave about 5.30 tomorrow morning and reckon it could take 12 hours to get there if Friday afternoon traffic on the motorways of England lives up to its reputation! Blipping and commenting over the next few days could be a bit problematic, but we will see how it goes (probably more likely to get a blip of a traffic jam on the M6 than a landscape of wee birdie!)
Talking of wee not so wee birdies, today's blip was taken first thing this morning before the darker rain bearing clouds appeared. I used to really like the Collar Doves and the way they nearly always go around in pairs. Not so sure now as they can pretty quickly clear all the food put out for the smaller birds. Still they provide a blip opportunity and I quite liked the indignant look on this one's face when I had the cheek to blip it as it was preparing to eat.
Right, off for an early night if we are to hit the road on schedule in the morning!
