Verbena and a gatepost

I finished marking a dissertation, did a bit of gardening and have been for a   cranio sacral treatment which seems to be doing me good. Took a photo of this verbena bonariensis which is starting to seed itself almost everywhere, looks rather good against the gatepost - not sure what the wood is but it is tough as old nails and has been standing there for over twenty years...
