French windows

We arrived at our hotel in Brittany after a successful trip across the Channel. We had to get up very early to catch the 8.30 am ferry from Portsmouth. The ferry was quiet, very few passengers. We had seats in a lounge overlooking the bows of the ship, bathed in sunshine which was a treat after yesterday's rain.
Once in France we had a more than 2hr drive westwards from Caen, almost all on motorway - the roads in France are so good. Finding the hotel was a challenge with very poor instructions.
Now we are settled in. Normous is trying to sort out plugs and adapters so that we can charge our iPads and phones. We've had a good meal and are ready for bed.
