Sky High Tree

Usual Pilates and coffee this morning. Even bumped into an old friend we haven't seen in a long while. It was good to have a brief but news packed catch up.

Wanted to take advantage of the sunshine without travelling too far and had a trip up to Cawthorne on the edge of the North York Moors tabular hills. Plenty of blackberries to pick in readiness for a fruit crumble or pie. Lots of spiders lurking in undergrowth but decided on this picture of a rather sculptural old tree looking down onto Elleron lake and beyond. By the time we had returned to the car the sky had clouded over. Just time to make it back to watch Scotland and Japan in the rugby world cup.
