Old dog can't learn new tricks?

It has been a few weeks since the last driving lesson. Slowly I make progress, but it is very slow. And I mean very slow. Counter steering, breaking and switching gears is manageable, but I'm horrified when I have to do a tiny circle. I'm afraid that I fall down again. Any tips?
