Beacon, Boat, and Birds

I thought after leaving Maine that the lighthouses would end, but nooooo! We saw 4 today...two in Pennsylvania, and two in Ohio. All four were on Lake Erie, and all four were new to us.

This one was in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. The light itself is in pretty poor shape, but it does make for a nice setting. I was torn between this shot, and another with a close-up of a gull in front of the light.

We pulled into our driveway at 4:15 p.m., with 3 thousand more miles on our van. Tired and beat, but it was a great couple of weeks.
