Iconic towers

I decided that today's blip would be a tribute to these towers. Belonging to Cockenzie Power Station which opened in 1967 they have been a landmark ever since for anyone from the area. Travelling back by train , road or plane once you see them you know Edinburgh is close. Although not pretty they have dominated the skyline in many photos.
The power station was decommissioned a few years ago and the towers are due to be demolished this Saturday. They will leave a big gap on the horizon.
