to Celebrate the Life of Jo Pilates

By coincidence this is the centenary of the time when Joseph Pilates came to the Isle of Man as an enforced resident as an internee during the First World War.

In a sense he has never left us because here you see a sample of the members of his exercise class about to participate in his training.

The lady on the left is Claire who is our inspirational leader.  Our meeting takes place in a church hall and there are usually twelve of us taking part.  Claire takes no prisoners and there are times during the training when it is necessary, in extremis, to take Divine inspiration from some of the posters on the wall....
