Remember that song by the group Scaffold?

Well we have scaffolding up!
They were here at 7 am !
Good job our roofer warned us yesterday to get up early.
What a very professional group of guys.
You should have seen the muscles !!

The roofer can now start later in the week.
Glad I haven 't to work up there!
No head for heights!

As you can see from the photo, they have taken great care not to damage the climbing roses. Which incidentally are very prickly!

The song, by the way, which always made me laugh, was actually based on an American folk song about Lydia Pinkham, who invented a herbal - alcoholic medicine for women.
