Reminders of last Novembers rapid freeze

last November the temperature plummeted from 60+F to -5 F in less than 24 hrs.   It came at a time when many plants were not quite ready for winter.  Some plants showed damage or were dead with a week of the event.  Other plant.. notable deciduous tress showed little or no damage until spring.   Some trees struggled through and either leafed out this spring or even tried to grow only to wilt and die as the summer went on.   These two purple leaf plums are some examples of the later.
