Published friend

Met up with an old friend today! It was brilliant to catch up in person. Don't get me wrong I love that Facebook, email etc. exist but sometimes it is still great to finally get together face to face and catch up. Great to see her! And meet her fiancé too! He was lovely and she is so happy with him which is great to see :) gives me the warm and fuzzies

He gave me one of his paintings too! Well technically they both did. As a thankyou for supporting them. I love helping people and being there for them and don't do it for the thanks but this gesture has truly blown me away! The painting the frame everything about it is beautiful! I am going to buy some proper hooks for it ASAP and get it hung up on my room! I am speechless! One of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me!

She also gave me this book as a gift! She was published last year and this is the book she is featured in (her bio is shown in the picture too before a collection of her poems that were chosen). They are brilliant and it's such a fantastic thing to be published out of all the women that entered their works in the whole of the UK! Such an achievement and she wrote a lovely message in the front too. I will treasure it forever!

She is an amazing woman and I do wish her all the best in life. And I am only too glad that I play a part in it :)

Good friends....they mean more to me than words could say :)
