An Exciting Day

Our first family visit to Five Sisters Zoo near West Calder. Must admit I went with low expectations but was greatly impressed with the ethos and care of the animals. Liked this long rope which snaked through the reptile house with leaf cutter ants going both ways. Almost hypnotic watching them. Then got close up to a fantastic owl (Extra 1) and on the way home stopped at Tailend Moss to see what may be the last Emerald Damselfly of the season (Extra 2).
