Boat in a Day

That was the plan for our monthly work group today, Tim had done the design, he is very inventive and hopefully the group would cut all the pieces and build it! Some of us sawed the wood, others including myself screwed it altogether under Tim's watchful eye. It was quite a way through the process before I realised it was catamaran ( not a pedalo, which had been my other thought! ). It was a very ambitious plan, especially with the nights drawing in if we were going to launch the thing in daylight. The weather was awful, with no let up in the rain. So we did well but the seating and sail will be for another day along with the picnic on the beach.
It was the four year anniversary of our group today, still all the original members, we have helped each other with all sorts of tasks from clearing brambles, fencing, turfing a roof, house painting, tree planting, plucking turkeys and making a duck pond to name but a few.
