The Road of the Dead

This cobbled road is reputed to have been used to move the bodies of kings and abbots after their funerals from Iona Abbey to the nearby place of burial, seen here in the distance.  The cemetery also contains the grave of Labour Party leader, John Smith, and reputedly Scottish King MacBeth.
