Northumberland

Today although it was a wet start, we decided on a visit to Holy island, so named because of St Aidan and St Cuthbert spreading the Christian message there in the seventh century. It can only be reached at certain tide times over a causeway, as featured in the top left photo. Also on the island is Lindisfarne castle and The Priory, both featured. I saw a large seal colony where I have shown a close up and the large colony. After all the rain it was nice to set the setting sun.
