Well, Market St did look momentarily blessed by this evening's sun.

However to the left is the old Caltongate school, currently workers' base for the less-than miraculous Caltongate/New Waverley development; to the right, Edinburgh City Council administrative HQ, home to the planning department that advised the Councillors to give permission for said development (not ugly enough to reject, apparently).
