Isabel and I went to our local Japanese restaurant (again!) tonight.  With the Scottish Boys' Weekend taking place this weekend it was nice to have a wee escape along the road.  Lots of yummy food, white wine and good company.

I had a routine appointment with the traumatologist this morning, who announced that my foot is healing well and that the soreness and occasional swelling is normal.  In addition to the physio I go to twice a week, she now wants me to start sessions of 'magnetic therapy', which help the bones to fuse.  

My afternoon was then spent getting numbers for authorised centres for this therapy and calling around to check availability of appointments.  The first centre didn't have any appointments till the end of October.  The second said that they don't have the machine, but could rent it, show me how to use it and then I'd take it home for a week and use it at home - I thought this a bit strange, but kept it as an option.  The third call was to a centre way way across the other side of the city and would be a long taxi ride there and back - something I wanted to avoid as it will be a daily visit.  However, I was stopped in my tracks when the telephonist asked which centre I wanted to visit as there were two and one was in Passeig de Gracia  - bang in the centre.  Bingo!  I have an appointment for Monday!
