My day - happy? teary? technophobe?
I set out with good intentions this morning in the dark- no sign of the sky lightening. I put the camera in my bag, saw a few potential shots of reflections etc but didn't want to miss my bus. Took the camera out of my bag when I was at the bus stop- again saw orange/pink glow lights with reflections in the puddles, when shock horror - the camera switched off. It had been so long since I had used the camera, prior to yesterday, that the hour charge that I had allocated to it yesterday before running out the house to go for lunch, was obviously not enough. The camera was dead.
I was working an extra shift in the ward that I was employed in until last week. The patients thought I had been on holiday- I reminded them that I had changed jobs. I then had problems using some of the machines- I didn't touch a thing, honestly! fortunately I knew how to fix this - I just used another. I solved the tech problems before I went home. I promised not to touch another machine if someone made me a coffee - I got plenty of offers. Just think how the patients felt when I went near them with needles!!
It was strange being back- fun but strange. I'm so used to being in charge.
