My gave us this little cat fridge calendar thing with cute cats and saying and things, I quite liked today's.

Went to a beautiful funeral today, of a exuberant and wonderfully godly woman who worked at my church a few years ago and has been involved in the wider church for many many years. The funeral was joyfully sad, and a wonderful send off. There were probably 300 people there, and it was a true testament to the love and generosity of Jill, all of which came from her faith. Her death came after 3 months of terminal cancer, but even during that time she never stopped loving our Lord and sharing that with all around her. This was a celebration of her life, and of the next step she has taken, tinged with sadness for those she leaves behind, but the reassurance we will get to see her again.
