Duurstede castle

Or ruins more actually...

My friend Janine and I went on a trip to Wijk bij Duurstede to visit the castle ruins and the Dorestad museum. When we arrived we found out the monumental windmill was open (and because of a nice breeze it was operating that day) and so we had a little extra treat. The park around the castle was beautiful in autumn colours. The castle itself isn't much, but it must have been an immense building.
