The Morar Beaches
After a hearty breakfast, we set off walking down to the beaches and Ms H and Mrs C couldn't resist dipping their tootsies as we went and Ms H found a swing in the extras. This is us (above) at the end of the walk, which persuaded us we must come back as there are even more to explore - the stunning shape of Eigg can be seen in the background. It was a swift walk back to the hotel with 10 minutes to spare before the train to Mallaig came.
While we had been walking earlier, we heard the toot toot of the steam train and realised it would be waiting in Mallaig to return to Fort William, so we watched that set off full laden.
The trip back was more familiar and we were ready to look out for the notable beauty spots this time. Usually we pass through this countryside on the way somewhere, so it was great to spend some time and enjoy it. Monessie Gorge looks amazing, near Spean Bridge, on the to do list!
