Abbotsford, from the sunken garden.
Abbotsford was the one-time home of Scotland’s renowned author Sir Walter Scott, the building of which almost bankrupted him. His diligence in writing his way out of his troubles, producing masterpiece after masterpiece, has endeared him to all Scots, writers and his many fans the world over. Today when we visited Abbotsford, we discovered that the staff there, although their hero is long since deceased, still love him and his works with a passion that is both obvious and endearing.
Many thanks indeed to all kind blippers who visited and left comments and stars for yesterday's upload. Your continued support is humbly appreciated.
