The First Control

Our second day of Mountain Bike Orienteering in Swaledale. The weather was more overcast today but at least it remained dry.

This is our first control on the stepping stones by the River Swale. Having collected a number of controls in the valley there was no alternative but to climb! Half way up we encountered Crackpot Farm - I did doubt our sanity in choosing this rather extreme climb!

Think tomorrow could be a day of rest!
