Big funnelman

Now for something completely different :-) Field hockey season has started again and this year son no 1 is again in action as the keeper of his club's first team. If at all possible we'll come to Holland to watch the game, as will son no2. See the extra to show a shadow selfie at the hockey field. Last week was the first home game, this week the first out game. We'll not talk about the game today (some of those club referees are incredibly bad!), but after the game we brought son no 2 back to his flat in Breda and then went on our way back to Belgium. This huge red sculpture lying flat on its back with an enormous orange funnel in its mouth is situated along the A27 at Breda just after a ramp to the freeway. I've often tried to capture it, which is not easy at all because we'll drive past at a high speed, often there are other cars in the lane next to it and usually we'll pass it at the end of the afternoon when we'll drive right against the sun (if there is sun). I have no idea what the bigger idea regarding this sculpture is. To me it looks like somebody passed out after having had a very boozy night out, not exactly the idea you want to promote to drivers. Big funnelman was made from polyester by Atelier van Lieshout (AVL) commissioned by the municipality of Breda, that's all I know.
