Dunadd
Another lovely dry day with plenty of sunny spells.
This morning we drove South to Tarbert. We parked by the harbour and took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk along the main street and further, past the ferry terminal (for the Tarbert to Portavadie ferry), then along the road past all the houses right out to the end of the road. From there we had wonderful views out over Loch Fyne and up as far as Ardrishaig. We came all the way back to the car and let Maeve have a rest while Apothecary7 and I visited one or two galleries/shops.
We drove back North to Lochgilphead and had lunch in the Smiddy Bistro.
After lunch we drove along to Crinan and had another walk with Maeve along to Bellanoch marina and back. Maeve was quite slow this afternoon so we let her have a snooze in the car and we went for coffee at Crinan. To round off the afternoon Apothecary7 and I got our sketchbooks and made two sketches each. One round by the Crinan lighthouse, then up by the last lock we sat at a picnic bench and sketched one of the little characterful buildings by the pier which the fishing boats use.
