"Greater" spotted woodpecker

or definitely lesser spotted in our garden.  Really quite an exciting sight from the kitchen window, hence the picture.

Having seen him safely off out of the garden we let Monty out....the walked to Ticknell for coffee...on a sunny morning it seemed like a good thing to do!
